Adriano BarcelonaRoma are set for a meeting with Barcelona to discuss prospective moves for Brazilian duo Adriano and Gerson.

Left-back Adriano is set to end his stay with the Catalan club and the Giallorossi seem to be the most likely destination, although a transfer has yet to be concluded. The deal for Gerson is more complicated however, with the teenager contracted to Fluminense but Barca holding a first option agreement.

Sky Sport Italia report that Roma’s sporting director Walter Sabatini will meet with Barcelona counterpart Ariedo Braida as the two clubs face off in the Gamper Trophy. As well as finalising a deal for Adriano, Sabatini will hope to convince the Champions League winners to forego their first option agreement on Gerson and allow Roma to deal with Fluminense directly.

The highly-rated midfielder has been in and out of the first team at the Maracana in recent weeks, as speculation over his future has increased.

Fluzao are said to be holding out for €17m for their prized asset.
