Serie A side Roma are reportedly interested in signing Sevilla defender Benoît Tremoulinas.

The 29-year-old left back began his career at Bordeaux, making 200 appearances across all competitions and winning five pieces of silverware from all four domestic honours before joining the Spanish la liga outfit. The french fullback was used regularly last season throuhghout Sevilla’s victorious Europa league campaign.

According to reports from Sky Sport Italia, the Giallorossi are prioritizing a deal for Paris Saint-Germain’s Lucas Digne on loan with an option to make the move permanent, but should this fail Walter Sabatini would look to Tremoulinas for reinforcements.

The report suggests that Sevilla would only be interested in selling should the Stadio Olimpico side match the buyout clause in the player’s contract.

Roma’s transfer window could pick up in the coming week with Manchester City’s Edin Dzeko expected to join after both clubs reportedly reaching an agreement.
