Defender Alessio Romagnoli is set to take his medical examinations today with AC Milan before joining up with the rest of squad.

Pending the results of his medical examinations, the 20-year old is set to become Milan’s second-most expensive defensive signing after a €25 million deal was agreed with Roma.

The actual date of the exam has been speculated about ever since the deal was announced, though after a slight delay the affair can now be expected to come to its conclusion.

Sky Sport Italia reported late on Monday evening that the medical was set for the next day, with the club later confirming the reports through their official Twitter.

Romagnoli is then set to rejoin coach Sinisa Mihajlovic, whom he played under at former club Sampdoria.
