Marquinhos- Paris Saint GermainParis Saint-Germain centre-back Marquinhos could be set for a sensational return to Roma, just two years after leaving in a big-money move.

The Brazilian joined the Giallorossi for a mere €3 million from Sao Paulo-based Corinthians in 2012, before being sold for more than ten times that amount one season later. Reports in France suggest that Marquinhos has been mooted for a possible return to the Stadio Olimpico.

Il Messaggero reports that Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini would like to bring the 21-year-old back to the club in a newly restructured defence. It is thought that any plans to sign Marquinhos are still in the early stages however, with no formal bid being made.

Since joining PSG in July 2013, the Brazil international has made 44 appearances for the club, scoring four goals.

After being sold for around €35m, Marquinhos broke Roma’s record for most expensive player to be sold by the club.
