Roma have identified Udinese defender Thomas Heurtaux as a replacement should Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa move to Lyon.
Yanga Mbiwa, who only joined Roma last summer for , has been linked with a move back to his homeland for some time now but as of yet no formal bid has been made by the Ligue 1 side.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, if Les Gones make an acceptable bid the Giallorossi plan to move for Heurtaux who impressed last season for the Zebrette.
The 27 year-old Frenchman started his career at Caen before moving to Udinese in 2012. Heurtaux made 26 Serie A appearances for Udinese last season.
In total he has made 75 Serie A appearances since his move to Udine, scoring five goals.
