Sampdoria coach Walter Zenga has deleted his Twitter profile after his side’s defeat in the Europa League.

Il Doria lost 4-0 to Vojvodina in the first leg of their Europa League 3rd qualifying round tie, leaving them on the brink of elimination and Zenga did not react well to the defeat.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Zenga deleted his personal Twitter profile after the match.

Sampdoria were booed off the pitch at the Stadio Olimpico in Turin where the match was being played.

It is believed that the abuse Zenga and his players received both at the stadium and subsequently on social media has led to Zenga deleting his twitter profile.

Zenga apologised to Sampdoria fans after the match but his future at the club is far from certain after the embarrassing defeat.
