Soriano - AC Milan v SampdoriaSampdoria midfielder Roberto Soriano is reportedly close to a move to AC Milan.

The Rossoneri have been rumoured to be interested in signing another midfielder this summer with tentative links to Zenit St. Petersburg’s Axel Witsel consistently being mentioned.

However, it appears the Diavolo are going down the Italian root with Quotidiano Sportivo reporting that Milan coach Sinisa Mihajlovic is interested in bringing Soriano to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

The Italian international is believed to have a release clause of €10 million which Il Doria would want all of up-front, or alternatively Milan could pay a higher fee in instalments.

The 24-year-old who was born in Germany, has made 99 Serie A appearances for Sampdoria since he joined as a youth player from Bayern Munich in 2009.

Before making his debut for the Ligurian side he spent a season on loan at Empoli.
