Mido – Roma
The Egyptian forward joined Roma from Marseille in the summer of 2004 for €6 million, half the fee that the French side paid Ajax to get Mido just 12 months before.
Still only 21-years-old, the Giallorossi became the sixth club of the Egypt international’s career, somewhat of an indicator of what Roma fans could expect to come.
Five months and just eight miserable Serie A appearances later, the troubled forward was shipped out on loan to Tottenham Hotspur and would never don the Giallorossi shirt again.
