Roma striker Seydou Doumbia.

The Ivorian frontman has had a disappointing career in Italy so far, netting just twice last season for the Giallorossi, and his precarious transfer situation has prompted West Brom to show interest.

According to AlfedoPedulla.com, the Baggies are maintaining contact with the player’s representatives in hope of a green light to make a move.

Alternatively, the English Premier League side are considering a move for Benfica frontman Jonas.

Doumbia was a productive striker at both Young Boys and CSKA Moscow, but has failed to rediscover his goalscoring touch in Rome.

The 27-year-old had 50 league goals to his name in Switzerland, as well as 61 in Russia.

Current club Roma have been attempting a transfer window clearout, with other names on the potential exit list including Mattia Destro and Adem Ljajic.
