English Premier League side West Ham United have joined the race for Napoli midfielder Gokhan Inler.
The Swiss international had previously been linked with moves to fellow English sides Leicester City and Watford, as well as German sides Schalke and Werder Bremen along with Serie A side Fiorentina, but now it appears that West Ham have joined the race for him.
Sky Sports report that the Hammers are interested in bringing in the 31-year-old to strengthen their squad for the new season.
It had previously been expected that Inler would move to Leicester after they reportedly agreed a fee for him of around €4.5 million with Napoli, but this looks set to fall through following the recent interest from West Ham.
Inler joined Napoli in 2011 from fellow Serie A side Udinese and has appeared 166 times for them since, scoring 13 goals.
