Alessandro Matri JuventusEnglish Premier League side West Ham United are reportedly preparing to offer forward Alessandro Matri a way out of AC Milan, after contacting the club over his signature.

The 31-year-old has struggled to make an impact since joining the Rossoneri in 2013 and has subsequently spent time on loan with Fiorentina, Genoa and Juventus.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Matri is interested in trying his luck in the Premier League with the deal only needing to be rubber stamped by AC Milan.

The Italian international was deemed surplus to requirements by coach Sinisa Mihajlovic, after the return of enigmatic striker Mario Balotelli from Liverpool.

Matri, whose contract expires in June 2017 has accumulated a total of 19 appearances with the Rossoneri, scoring one goal in the process.

Matri made 16 appearances and scored seven goals for Genoa in the first half of the 2014-15 Serie A season, before moving to Juve for the second half where he scored the winning goal in the Coppa Italia final against Lazio.
