AC Milan boss Sinisa Mihajlovic has praised striker Mario Balotelli for his performance in their 2-3 win against Udinese.

The Italian scored from a free kick in the first half, with both Giacomo Bonventura and Cristian Zapata also finding the net.

“The first half was good, it was one-way traffic and we were 3-0 up,” Mihajlovic told Mediaset Premium after the match.

“We conceded an early goal in the second half, we have to learn to deal with these kinds of situations in a better way.

“There are things we need to improve on, we have proved that when we play the right way, we can be a great team.”

Balotelli was one of the star performers for the Rossoneri, scoring and playing in a much more positive fashion.

“He had an excellent game, holding up the ball and putting up with a lot of fouls,” the Milan coach continued.

“Tonight he was man of the match, both in terms of his moves and his attitude. I’m happy with his display.

“His talent was never in doubt, I’ll make sure he sticks to the right path,” he concluded in his interview.

Milan are currently joint third in the Serie A table with Fiorentina, who have yet to play their fixture.
