AC Milan midfielder Giacomo Bonaventura has declared that his side are ready for Sunday’s Derby della Madonnina clash with Inter.
The 26-year-old claimed that the team’s preparation for the match has been excellent and he is confident the Rossoneri can claim a victory over Roberto Mancini’s men.
“We are working as usual and the return of all our players from international duty during the week has helped,” Bonaventura told MilanChannel.
“We are working very hard to try and win this important game.
“Yes, we are playing them in the early stages of the season, but I think that Sunday will be a good test for us. However, we are ready.”
Bonaventura also believes it will be a fairly even affair against the unbeaten Nerazzurri, because both clubs made a number of personnel changes during the summer.
“We both changed a lot, we are renovating and I think it will be a great game,” Bonaventura continued.
“Compared to when we played them in the summer friendlies they have brought in several new players.”
The former Atalanta man, further praised coach Sinisa Mihajlovic for attempting to change the squad’s mentality, after a disappointing 2014-15 campaign.
“Mihajlovic has helped us to improve, we are instilling a new mindset and he wants to inspire us,” concluded Bonaventura.
