Italy coach Antonio Conte has expressed gratitude for the messages of support he has received in recent days following the Azzurri’s previous two European qualifying fixtures.
The 46-year-old tactician has led his side to the top of Group H following consecutive victories over Malta and Bulgaria and he has now declared his thanks for the fans who have assisted them.
“There have been lot’s of messages of support that I have received in the past few days,” said Conte on his official Facebook page.
“From my time as a player, to now as coach of the Italian national team, I want to thank everyone.
“All of these messages have always been close to me and provided me with great enthusiasm and energy; even if they were written to me on here [Facebook] or if someone spoke to me on the street.
“The squad and I want to share with everyone of one of you the success that we have achieved in the past two games, thank you.”
