Sampdoria forward Luis Muriel is being watched closely by Turkish Super Lig side Fenerbahce with a view to a move in January.
The sporting director at Fener is former Torino and AC Milan goalkeeper Giuliano Terraneo, who appears to be focusing his energies on recruiting talent from Serie A ahead of the next transfer window.
According to Il Secolo XIX, 61-year-old Lombardy native Terraneo has already made contact with Sampdoria representatives, offering €12 million for the Colombian’s services.
Ex-Udinese star Muriel notched a double in Il Doria’s thrilling 5-2 victory over newly promoted Carpi on the opening day of the new season, while he hit four goals in 16 appearances last term after joining the Blucerchiati in January 2015.
He also struck once over the two legs played against Vojvodina during Sampdoria’s ill-fated Europa League campaign, which ended abruptly at the third qualifying round juncture.
