Fiorentina will be without the left-back Manuel Pasqual for at least three weeks.
The 33-year-old Italian picked up an injury in training after the Viola’s match versus Bologna in which the defender did not feature.
Fiorentina confirmed on their official website that Pasqual suffered a tear to the gastrocnemius muscle in his right calf with some damage to his tendons.
The club captain has already started a recovery programme and his fitness will be reevaluated in three weeks when the first stage of his rehabilitation is completed.
Pasqual has made two Serie A appearances at the start of the 2015-16 campaign and he played 90 minutes for Italy during their 1-0 Euro 2016 qualifying win over Malta.
The left-back also came on as a substitute as the Viola kicked their Europa League campaign off with a home defeat to Basel.
