Parma expired in the summer.

Lodi played for Udinese in the 2009/10 season, playing in 19 games and scoring one goal, and will now return to the club.

The owner of Udinese, Gino Pozzo, flew to Italy from London to close the deal, as reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Just hours later, Lodi became a Udinese player, although he was not registered in time to face AC Milan.

After leaving Udinese, Lodi shined at Catania especially, between 2011 and 2013, where he became famous as a valuable playmaker and a wonderful free-kick taker.

His decline began at Genoa the following season, and after being relegated with Catania in 2014 and Parma in 2015, he has another chance to re-establish himself in Serie A.

Lodi played two games with Italy Under 21, but has never played with the senior national team.
