Andrea Ranocchia InterFormer Inter captain Andrea Ranocchia is reportedly desperate to leave the club, after falling out of favour with boss Roberto Mancini.

The 27-year-old was appointed as the club’s captain for the beginning of the 2014/15 season, following the retirement of Nerazzurri legend Javier Zanetti.

However, a poor campaign last season saw Ranocchia stripped of his captaincy before the start of this season, with young striker Mauri Icardi taking the armband.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, the Italian international nows wants to leave the Giuseppe Meazza stadium after falling down the pecking order behind new summer arrivals Joao Miranda and Jeison Murillo.

Premier League sides Tottenham, Everton, Crystal Palace and Newcastle are all apparently monitoring the former Bari man, who could depart in the January transfer window.

Ranocchia’s playing time under Mancini has been significantly reduced this term with the centre-back amassing a total of 27 minutes across four Serie A matches.

Ranocchia, who joined Inter midway through the 2010/11 season, has accumulated over 150 appearances in all competitions, scoring nine goals in the process.
