Frosinone head coach Roberto Stellone reflected positively on his side’s showing against Roma, despite a 2-0 loss on Saturday night.
The Canarini showed plenty of grit but were guilty of allowing Iago Falque to pounce on a long throw in by Lucas Digne and were punished by Juan Manuel Iturbe’s solo goal on the counter.
“It was too bad to concede the first goal because we played a good first half,” Stellone said to Sky Sport Italia.
“Our second half could’ve been more fortunate, given the many occasions we might have scored. I remain pleased with the performance of the team even though didn’t take any points.”
The Italian also commented on his team’s desperation as they mostly resorted to speculative long range efforts in the second half.
“I can see we made some mistakes after evaluating the match,” he said.
“Still, I have to be pleased with our performance.”
