lealiFrosinone goalkeeper Nicola Leali has admitted he is quietly confident his side can challenge Serie A title contenders Roma at the Stadio Matusa this weekend.

The 22-year-old on-loan from Juventus is excited about the prospect of playing the Giallorossi and believes they will be a tough test for the newly promoted outfit come Sunday.

“Against Torino we did not get any points but we did well, then we also lost against Atalanta.”Leali said in a midweek press-conference.

“Now there is Roma, who are certainly a very strong opponent but in football anything can happen.

“We know Roma are a great team and that they have improved, as they shown against Juventus.”

The Canarini, who are yet to collect any points so far this season will head into the clash as undisputed underdogs, however, that does not concern Leali.

“We respect everyone and we’ll see what happens. What I know is that we will fight and we will give everything. We have to go out and just compete, even if we are playing Roma,” Leali continued.

“Am I afraid of Roma? Not really, they are strong and have great finishers in front of goal… The pressure is on them to perform.”
