Garcia - RomaRoma coach Rudi Garcia has said his side’s ability to alternate between systems will prove vital this season as they look to finally snatch the Scudetto from rivals Juventus.

The 51-year-old is currently drilling his side ahead of this weekend’s meeting with Serie A newcomers Frosinone, with the Giallorossi’s last outing coming before the international break as they impressively defeated Juve 2-1 at the Stadio Olimpico.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Garcia praised his squad’s versatility and dismissed the notion that he was worried about the players he was missing.

“Any formation change is possible,” the Frenchman began.

“Those who are with me know what to do,” he added.

“In defence, we almost never change, but we can rotate things in both midfield and attack.”

When questioned on the absence of midfielder Miralem Pjanic, Garcia dismissed talk that this could prevent his side from claiming all three points against the Canarini.

“I do not think about who we are missing,” he stated.

“We could keep the same formation, but we could also change.

“My players will know what to do either way and that is the important thing.”

Garcia also spoke about his happiness with the depth in the goalkeeping department this season, following the arrival of Wojciech Szczesny from Arsenal during the summer transfer window.

“I am happy with the attitude of both of them [Szczesny and Morgan De Sanctis.]

“We can now count on two experienced goalkeepers.”
