Burdisso - GenoaGenoa captain and defender Nicolas Burdisso has said that his team will stay committed to their positive style of play, despite a squad overhaul this summer.

The Grifone have added 11 new players to their squad this summer including Cristian Ansaldi on loan from Zenit St Petersburg and former Sevilla winger Diego Capel.

“We have just started, it still takes a lot of work and a lot of humility.” said Burdisso to Sky Sport Italia.

“The new team? Our style of football is to continue and we will try to do well despite the many new players we have  every year,” he added.

“Gasperini is a very good coach who knows Serie A very well.”

This is Gian Piero Gasperini’s second spell in charge of the Rossoblu after he coached them between 2006 and 2010.
