Inter are interested in signing Hellas Verona’s versatile midfielder Jacopo Sala whilst AC Milan are planning another bid for Zenit St Petersburg’s Axel Witsel.
Both sides invested heavily in their squads over the summer and are already considering moves for the January transfer window to further strengthen their teams.
According to Tuttosport, the Nerazzurri have identified Jacopo Sala who is primarily a midfielder but can also play at right-back as an alternative option to Martin Montoya.
The Rossoneri are also preparing to move for Belgian international Axel Witsel who was continually linked with a move to Serie A in the summer.
The 26-year-old has been in Russia since 2012 following his move from Benfica and has been able to establish himself as one of Europe’s most highly-rated defensive midfielders.
