Inter are hopeful of securing a deal to sign Fabinho from Monaco in January.

Roberto Mancini did sign a right-back in the summer but Martin Montoya, brought in from Barcelona, has not convinced the Inter coach and now the club are looking to bring in another option.

According to Rai Sport, Inter’s number one target is Fabinho.

Inter have begun to lay the foundations of a deal for the Brazilian international but no agreement has been made with the French side.

The Nerazzurri did business with Monaco this summer when they brought midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia to Milan.

Should Inter fail to land Fabinho, they will then pursue Hellas Verona defender Jacopo Sala, who has been a long term target for the Nerazzurri.
