Inter welcome visitors Hellas Verona to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on Wednesday night, hoping to extend their undefeated run in the Serie A to five matches.

The Nerazzurri have been in commanding form this campaign, illustrating their mettle in almost all their matches to secure hard-fought victories against the likes of Carpi and Atalanta.

An impressive win in the Derby della Madonnina against AC Milan also means confidence is high among the group, where they are currently placed at the top of the Serie A table.

Meanwhile, Verona’s performances have been in stark contrast to that of their counterparts, who are hovering precariously just above the relegation zone.

Another loss for coach Andrea Mandorlini and the alarm bells will certainly begin to ring for the Gialloblu, despite obtaining a point in their most recent fixture against Torino.

Inter have completely dominated this fixture in recent times, yet to taste defeat against Hellas in Serie A since the 1996/97 season. The Milanese club have won three of the previous four meetings, with the visitors securing a 2-2 stalemate against the Nerazzurri last year.

In the corresponding fixture back in April, the Nerazzurri prevailed in a 3-0 away victory, thanks to an own goal and strikes from Mauro Icardi and Rodrigo Palacio.

In terms of team news, the quick three game turnaround from the weekend fixtures could see both coaches rotate their respective squads. Inter will be without injured Brazilian duo Joao Miranda and Juan Jesus, while Gary Medel could start in midfield making way for Andrea Ranocchia to return to the defensive line-up.

For Verona, boss Mandorlini will be without fan favourite Emil Hallfredsson and striker Mohamed Fares, however Giampaolo Pazzini could feature from the outset after making a number of cameo appearances off the bench.
