Juventus legend Ciro Ferrara has spoken positively of Mario Balotelli’s performance following AC Milan’s defeat to Inter in the Derby Della Madonnina on Sunday night.
Balotelli came on as a substitute for Carlos Bacca and immediately caused problems for the Nerazzurri, almost finding the equaliser when his shot flew narrowly wide.
“I really loved how Balotelli came on in the right frame of mind.” Ferrara told Mediaset.
“He is a player who will always be provoked by opponents, however he reacted well tonight.”
“He showed great desire and rediscovered the pleasure of playing football once again.”
Balotelli is currently on loan at Milan from Liverpool this season after failing to make an impact at the Merseyside club in the 2014-2015 campaign.
The controversial forward spent three years at Inter between 2007 and 2010 but is now representing the Rossoneri for the second time in his career.
