Paris Saint-Germain forward Ezequiel Lavezzi has revealed that this will be his last season with the French champions, paving the way for a possible return to Serie A next summer.
The 30-year-old former Napoli man had been linked with a move back to Italy over the summer, with both Inter and Juventus reportedly keen on the Argentinian International, however he has now taken the decision to leave following the end of his current contract.
“I think that this will be my last year in Paris and I want to finish in the best possible manner,” Lavezzi told Telefoot.
“I wanted to stay at PSG [for this season] because I have confidence in the team. The squad is stronger than last season and the competition for places is an exciting challenge for me.”
Lavezzi has managed 33 goals for the Parisian outfit to date in 140 official appearances after completing a move worth close to €30 million from Napoli.
