Lazio defender Dusan Basta has targeted a top five finish in Serie A and European qualification as a minimum target for the current season.
The 31-year-old Serbia international was a regular in Stefano Pioli’s starting eleven last season as the Biancocelesti finished in third place in Serie A behind title winners Juventus and bitter rivals Roma, claiming a Champions League play-off place.
“In football it takes little to climb but also little to descend,” the full-back told Italian newspaper Messaggero Veneto.

Lazio were eventually beaten 3-1 by Bayer Leverkusen on aggregate in the Champions League, missing out on the lucrative group stages of the competition.
