Lazio team doctor Stefano Salvatori has given updates on the side’s injured players including the likes of Lucas Biglia, Stefan de Vrij and Miroslav Klose.

The Biancocelesti have experienced a decent start to the campaign without some of their star players, as they have earned six points in three Serie A games, however they suffered a heavy 4-0 defeat to Chievo before the international break.

“After the game against Udinese we have nothing to report, all of the players performed brilliantly,” Salvatori said to Lazio Style Channel.

“As for Lucas Biglia and Stefan de Vrij, we will do fresh checks on them at Paideia [Lazio’s hospital].

“Lucas has begun training and is slightly ahead of Stefan at this stage.”

The doctor then commented on the situation of strikers Filip Djordjevic and Miroslav Klose.

“We will not check on Djordjevic, as the situation is progressing slowly,” Salvatori continued

“Klose will be in Germany for tests this week. We hope they will be positive.

“After the tests we will re-evaluate to see if the diagnosis is worse than first thought.”
