Lazio youngster not seeking move away from club

Ogenyi Onazi’s agent has confirmed that the player is not seeking a move away from Lazio, however he has revealed that the midfielder wants more first team playing time.

The 22-year-old has yet to feature in the first three Serie A games this season for the Biancocelesti, but did take part in their brief Champions League campaign and is reportedly happy to remain at the club and fight for his place.

“For now, Onazi will not be moving,” his agent Stephen Makinwa told Radiosei.

“We have spoken with Lazio and the club consider him to be an important player who has a contract until 2018.

“I can’t say that he is entirely satisfied, he would like to be playing more frequently like everyone, but that is normal.”

The Nigerian joined Lazio after impressing at the 2009 U-17 World Cup and made his debut for the side in 2012, going on to make 91 appearances for the capital club.
