Manchester City captain claims team need to be perfect against Juventus
The two sides meet in the opening game of what is a tough Champions League group for the Bianconeri with two-time Europa League winners Sevilla and Borussia Monchengladbach also present, and Kompany is aware that City have to start well.
“If we start on the wrong foot tomorrow it will be difficult to recover in such a tough group,” Kompany said in his pre-match press conference.
“We have a good team, we always believe in ourselves.
“This is the basis from which will allow us to be able to do well in the Champions League.
“In the Premier League we have played with determination and hunger to win, after a poor campaign last season.
“The same has to happen in Europe, where again we have been below par in recent years.
“We need to play with anger and determination.
“Juventus are a great team who did amazing things last season.
“We will have to be perfect if we are to beat them.”
