Sandro Mazzola - InterFormer Inter forward Sandro Mazzola has praised Napoli‘s season so far but has also said the team is currently lacking a true leader.

The Partenopei have six points from five games and have won just one game this season, however, that result was a 5-0 victory over Lazio.

“Napoli is playing a great championship, but in the last few games they have missed a player who could carry the team on his shoulders.” said Mazzola to RadioClub91.

“Napoli have the players to make a very strong defence, and also the ones to break through the defences deployed against them,” he continued.

“At this time the attacking players seem to be lacking some creativity, and I refer to the last match against Carpi. Finding a leader is not easy but they are many candidates.”

Mazzola then shared his thoughts about rivals Inter and Juventus.

“Right now Inter have a firmness and determination that they have lacked for a long time.

“Great teams need to be cynical and strong, and they know how not to concede a goal. Napoli vs Juventus? It’s a very important match for Juventus because if they don’t win they are in crisis.

“The pressure is all on Juventus.”
