andujar napoliAfter the return to Naples of Pepe Reina fellow goalkeeper Mariano Andujar has returned to former side Estuadiantes in Argentina.

With Brazilian goalkeeping duo Rafael Cabral and Gabriel also on the books of the Partenopei, the 32-year-old would have struggled to add to the 12 Serie A outings he has made since arriving from Catania in January 2014.

Napoli announced via their club website on Tuesday that Andujar has returned to his homeland on loan, for a third stint with the La Plata outfit.

His first spell with the club was arguably the best of his career, helping the club clinch the 2006 Primera Division and the 2009 Copa Libertadores.

That success led to a move to Sicilian side Catania in 2009 where, despite spending a short spell back on loan at Estuadiantes, he made 135 Serie A appearances.
