Lodi parmaSerie A side Napoli could make a move for former Catania midfielder Francesco Lodi on free transfer.

The free-kick specialist is currently unattached following two loan spells at Genoa and Parma and is looking for a chance to resurrect his career by replicating his Catania form from the 2012-2013 season.

According to Radio Marte, Napoli are aiming to seal the deal for Lodi on a free transfer as soon as possible before another club approaches him with a good offer.

It is also reported that the Partenopei have already made contact with the player’s agent over the possibility of Lodi joining his hometown club and the player is also understood to be keen on a move to the Stadio San Paolo.

Lodi joined Parma from Catania on loan in 2014 and scored two goals for the Ducali and made 20 starts for the club before it was declared bankrupt.
