Netherlands international Sneijder was a big success during his time at the Giuseppe Meazza stadium and Inter coach Roberto Mancini is hoping to re-sign the 31-year-old with the midfielder’s contract at the Istanbul club set to expire at the end of the season.

According to the Turkish newspaper Aktif Haber, the Nerazzurri want to sign Sneijder in January for a cut-price fee but may also consider the option of agreeing a deal for the player to rejoin Mancini’s side next summer.

The Italian giants are also set to make a move for Turkish international defender Semih Kaya for a fee of around €7 million as they seek to strengthen their defence in order to return to the Champions League next season.

Inter have already conducted business with Galatasaray this season by agreeing deals for midfielder Felipe Melo and defender Alex Telles.
