Former Genoa midfielder Juraj Kucka has thanked the Grifone and their supporters following his transfer to AC Milan.

The Slovakian international spent four years at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris, making 127 appearances, before joining the Rossoneri last week.

“For four-and-a half years I wore the red and blue shirt with the Griffon on the heart and now I will speak to you from my heart”, said the 28-year-old via Instagram.

“I thank all my former colleagues, players, coaches, trainers, physiotherapists, doctors and everyone that was there to help us.

“Just as important are all those people outside of football that I have met in Genoa, and the fans that have always pushed us forward. They created an unforgettable atmosphere inside the stadium.

“It hasn’t always been easy but I have given my all for the club and fought hard for the red and blue shirt. Thank you for everything and best of luck for the future.”

Kucka made his Milan debut as a second-half substitute in the 2-1 victory over Empoli last weekend.
