The Nerazzurri brought him in on loan from Serie A rivals Roma this summer and have the option to sign him permanently once the spell ends, depending on his performances over the coming campaign.

“I am very happy to go to a great team like Inter,” Ljajic told reporters.

He notched 15 goals in 74 games during his two seasons in a Giallorossi shirt before transferring to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

The Serbian international then spoke of his side’s chances in the Euro 2016 qualifying campaign, in which they recently defeated Armenia 2-0, but now face a trip to France on Monday night in an international friendly.

“We hope to play well like we did against Armenia, although we know that the Blues are stronger,” the 23-year-old said.
