AS Roma's Pjanic celebrates after scoring against Juventus during their Serie A soccer match at Olympic stadium in RomeRoma attacking midfielder Miralem Pjanic has suffered a calf injury whilst on international duty.

The Bosnian international picked up the knock to his left leg during the first half of a 3-0 European Championship Qualifying victory at home to minnows Andorra on Sunday evening.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the problem is more serious than initially thought and will leave Pjanic on the sidelines for at least the next fortnight.

He will therefore miss the upcoming Serie A fixture against Frosinone, whilst sitting out Roma’s prestigious Champions League group clash with European champions Barcelona next week.

Pjanic struck his opening goal of the campaign in his last outing for the Giallorossi, which saw them claim a precious win over Juventus at the Stadio Olimpico.
