Roma Ultras are to continue a protest against the club’s decision to add extra barriers in the Curva Sud for safety reasons.

The supporters are voicing their discontent over the club’s decision and as a result the Stadio Olimpico has remained largely quiet during Roma’s games against Juventus as well as the Champions League match against Barcelona.

According to the newspaper Il Tempo, the protest is set to continue in Roma’s next Serie A encounter against Sassuolo on Sunday.

The disgruntled supporters have reiterated that they will carry out their protest in a calm and peaceful manner but have decided that rather than attending the matches and staying quiet, they have urged supporters to empty the stadium entirely.

Despite the protests, Roma have made an encouraging start to the new campaign by picking up seven points from three games and holding Barcelona to a 1-1 draw.
