Roma utility Alessandro Florenzi has admitted he is comfortable operating in a more unfamiliar position at right-back under coach Rudi Garcia.
Traditionally a midfielder, the 24-year-old is known for his versatility and has been deployed primarily as a full-back this season, after excelling in the role when featuring there during the 2014-15 campaign.
“I have fun in that role and am confident playing there thanks to my teammates, I also play full-back for Italy,” Florenzi told Sky Sport Italia following his side’s hard-fought 2-0 away win to Frosinone.
Florenzi also took time out to commend their opponents Frosinone, who competed admirably against the Giallorossi, before turning his attention to the midweek Champions League clash with holders Barcelona.
“We did not play at our best tonight, but Frosinone gave everything,” Florenzi continued.
“Even though we did not play very well, the important thing was the victory.
“Now we need to rest and then prepare for Barcelona.”
