Bologna coach Delio Rossi acknowledged that his side are still going through some difficulties and must improve.

The Rossoblu boss also feels that Serie A is stronger than it has been in previous seasons and this has made things more difficult for some of the lesser teams.

“We are encountering some difficulties and we’re still not a finished product,” said Rossi at the pre-match press conference before his side’s meeting with Udinese.

“It will be realistic for us to take a look at what is going well and what is going wrong after 10 games.

“It’s clear that we need to take more risks in order to start picking up some important points in this phase of transition.

“I hope that the squad will grow in terms of personality more after we can control a few games.

“We are not worse than the other teams in terms of quality and you will see that when things come together.”

The 55-year-old also believes that the upcoming return of Daniele Gastaldello will benefit his side.

“I need Gastaldello and he is an important player who I’m waiting for,” Rossi went on.

“He needs to get back to match fitness which is why he is playing in the Primavera.

“We find ourselves in a Serie A which is stronger than past seasons.

“All the sides are very well organised and even the teams with less quality are still solid.”
