Barreto is expecting a tough test against Atalanta at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d’Italia on Monday evening.
The 31-year-old Paraguay international has featured in all five of the Blucerchiati’s Serie A fixtures this season, helping the club gain ten points in an impressive start to the new campaign under coach Walter Zenga.
“We have a tough game coming up against Atalanta,” Barreto told Samp.tv.
“They play at home and under the eyes of their fans and are always good in these situations.
“They are like us coming into the match from a win and will want to follow up their result with another positive performance. Atalanta is a team that is compact, the players are all together and help eachother.
“As for us, we want to follow up the good performance last week with another good performance and obviously then the results will come.”
