Serie BLivorno demonstrated their Serie B title ambitions by winning their third game on the trot beating Brescia 3-1, and subjugating the Rondinelle to their third defeat of the season.

However, it was Brescia who took the lead in the match through Alex Geijo. The 33-year-old found himself completely unmarked in the box and met a Carlos Embalo cross with a firm header.

Despite the early blow Livorno quickly responded. Francesco Fedato picked up the ball on the left wing, beat his man and thrashed an absolute bullet of a shot into the roof of the net from 30 yards. It was a truly special goal, which seemed turn the tide of the match as from here on in the Amaranto dominated.

However, they had to wait until the 68th minute to gain the lead. A corner was flicked on at the near post, and looped up for Arturo Calabresi to nod in from two yards out.

The win was eventually sealed through Daniele Vantaggiato who headed in from free-kick, which was delivered from just outside the box.

Modena also got their first win of the season beating Ternana 1-0. The game, though filled with chances and goalmouth scrambles, was somehow still goalless until the 86th minute.

But that changed when a floated cross was met by a stunning volley from Agustin Olivera, who gave the Canarini all three points from a very tight angle.
