Sousa: Fiorentina need to become more consistent

The former Portuguese international acknowledged that his side need to become more consistent but that is an issue which they are hoping to address in training.

“We were able to win at a stadium that is difficult to visit,” said Sousa to Mediaset Premium after the game.

“We are working to become more consistent but we still need more time.

“This team has the right mentality, we are always looking to win even if we have to suffer for it.

“We suffered today but in the end we got the win.”

The 45-year-old went on to speak specifically about summer signing Mario Suarez.

“Today Suarez played in a difficult position, with a double workload,” added Sousa.

“We can all improve and Suarez can improve in the same way.

“Dead balls are important and we can win or lose games thanks to dead balls.”
