Former Inter midfielder Dejan Stankovic believes that AC Milan are the favourites to win the Derby della Madonnina this Sunday.
The 36-year-old, who is now Nerazzurri first team coach, has acknowledged that his former side have improved after the summer transfer window, but thinks that the Rossoneri’s form in recent fixtures between the two sides may influence the outcome.
“It is an electric derby match and one that both sides are prepared for,” said Stankovic to Premium Sport.
“Inter have finished the transfer window with a great side and we are all ready for it.”
He continued: “The introduction of [Sinisa] Mihajlovic wont have much of an influence as the derby is only about the 90 minutes.”
“As for who is the favourite; Milan have beat us twice recently, first in China and then also in the Tim Trophy.
“They are the favourites.”
