FIGC President Carlo Tavecchio has congratulated Andrea Agnelli on his election onto the Executive Committee of UEFA.
The 39-year-old is also the President of Juventus, the fourth member of the Agnelli family to run the football club after his grandfather, his father and his uncle.
“Dear Andrea, I want to express my sincere congratulations on the appointment to the UEFA Executive Committee,” Tavecchio said in a statement on the website of the FIGC.
“I am sure that we will be well represented, with his usual skill, the aspirations of our clubs and the whole family of Italian football.”
Agnelli was appointed President of the Bianconeri in May 2011 and has been credited with overseeing the club’s transition into their new stadium while winning four Scudetto’s in a row.
