Following their 2-0 victory on Saturday, Roma captain Francesco Totti has claimed that winning matches against teams such as Frosinone are the most difficult.
The Giallorossi defeated last season’s Serie B runners up thanks to goals from Iago Falque and Juan Iturbe, but were made to work for the win.
“Victories like this count double. Taking maximum points is never taken for granted, regardless of the opposition”, Totti told reporters after the final whistle.
The 38-year-old was delighted with the hard fought victory, which takes Roma to seven points from their opening three fixtures.
“This was a great win. We have to collect as many points as possible in the early stages of the championship.”
Totti was making his first appearance of the season at the Stadio Matusa, his 589th Serie A match, in a career spent entirely with the Roman outfit.
