AC Milan coach claims side deserved win against Sassuolo

MIhajlovic - Ac MilanAC Milan coach Sinisa Mihajlovic believes his side deserved their 2-1 win over Sassuolo but insists fan still have the right to boo his team.

Domenico Berardi cancelled out Carlos Bacca early penalty, but Luiz Adriano found the winner for the Rossoneri and Mihajlovic praised young goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma who made his first Serie A start for the club.

“We always believed we could win, I think it was a deserved victory,” Mihajlovic told Radio Rai.

“Donnarumma can follow in the path of Gianluigi Buffon, he’s young but he’s also good.

“Today he was very busy, Diego Lopez is important to us but he’s been out of form recently.”

Sections of the Rossoneri supporters made their dissatisfaction known during the fixture but Mihajlovic defended the Rossoneri faithful after the game.

“The fans have every right to boo us,” the Milan boss concluded in his interview.
