Nigel De Jong has expressed his unhappiness as he continues to find his chances at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza limited.
The 31-year-old however insists that he does not have any problems with AC Milan coach Sinisa Mihajlovic and knows he will have to be patient in order to get his chance in the Milan team.
“It is not true that I have a problem with Mihajlovic,” the midfielder said in a press conference at Milanello.
“I’m not happy because I am not playing regularly, but that’s football.
“I must wait for my chance.
“I love playing in a 4-4-2 formation, it depends however on the game and the players available at the time.”
He also touched on Milan’s team spirit and insisted Milan can get better after their 2-1 win over Sassuolo at the weekend.
“We have great spirit in the dressing room,” De Jong added.
“We have improved in recent weeks but we can get even better.
“There is a lot more to come from us.”
