Garcia - RomaRoma coach Rudi Garcia insists the Giallorossi are travelling to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on Saturday with a view to continuing their good form when they face Inter.

The Giallorossi sit top of the league table just a few weeks after speculation was mounting about Garcia’s future when the Lupi slipped seven points behind the Nerazzurri.

However, a series of good performances has propelled Garcia’s side to the league summit and the Frenchman insists the Giallorossi are looking to underline their title ambitions by winning on Saturday.

“This pre-match is very similar to the one before Fiorentina,” Garcia told his press conference.

“We’ve got a top-level game ahead of us featuring two good teams that have the stats to back it up. We won’t change our approach, our aim is to extend our winning run.

“It’s an exciting game and we train every day for matches like these.

The former Lille coach does expect Roberto Mancini’s side to provide a stern test due but insists his side should cope with the pressure.

“We know what they are capable of, but they also have many different tactics up their sleeve, such as pressing high up the pitch for example,” added Garcia.

“We will start the game aware of our strengths and with this run of five back-to-back victories behind us. We’ll leave everything out on the pitch tomorrow and we’re not thinking about the Champions League.”
